Are you committed to your own future?

We all love to hear and read stories of the average person who has started on the Internet, and makes $500, $1000 a month within a few weeks of commencing their online business.

The problem is these stories and these individuals are the exception. A newbie starts to market, thinking these results are easily attainable and after a couple of weeks with little or no results. They start to question why they have made no money.

They become frustrated and disappointed because they have set their goals and time frame for reaching those goals, based on the results of the exceptionally rare person that has achieved quick success online.

Instead they should have learnt the truth about how much time and planning the average newbie has to put into setting up, starting and building their online business.

When starting your online business you need first to make a commitment to yourself that your business is going to be long term, and realistically you are not going to make a lot of money in the first 3 months.

The average person committed to their business, will take at least six months to generate an income of $500 to $1000 a month. Those that are not committed and wanted to believe the individual that was the exception, will more than likely fail.

So when you start to plan your business you need to set your goals based on reality not the exception. Statistics will tell you that 95% of people that start an Internet Business fail. So what does that tell you? It's time to start setting goals based on reality.

To earn consistently $50,000 To $100,000 a year would take you two to three years of committed hard work and even longer for some of us.

So if your not prepared to invest in yourself and make a long term commitment to your future you will either give up or eventually fail. Save yourself the heartache and frustration of failing, because there is no free or quick buck to be made on the Internet and unless you do commit for the long term you are doomed to join the 95% that do fail.

So what's the truth? What do you need to do?

Statistics have established that 95% of people that start an online business either fail or never make any money and give up. Based on these statistics two questions need to be answered before we start.

Is it going to be hard to succeed? Is it impossible to succeed? The answers to these two questions is Yes and No.

Yes it is going to be hard and take a lot of hard work. But that applies to any business you start for yourself, be it online or offline.

No it is not impossible to succeed in your online business. But there are a few necessary steps you must take.

1. Establish> Is a Home Based Business right for you.

2. Set your goals> Set achievable goals and be sure you are prepared to commit to them.

3. Find a Mentor> Find someone who is successful and prepared to teach you all there is to know about setting up and marketing your business online. Someone that will give you all the facts. Preferably a Mentor with a good quality Members Site.

4. Find your home business niche> Decide what type of business interests you and be sure the type of business you select is one that you will enjoy.

5. Start to build your list of subscribers> You should start to build a list of subscribers to your newsletter. It will not matter if you are the only breeder of four legged chickens in the world. Without a "customer base" you won't sell any chickens. You can build your list a few ways, however, the best way is to do just that BUILD IT your goal should be to have a list of at least 10,000.

6. Find a GOOD web host> Notice I stressed GOOD. I did not say cheap or free. Free is usually worth what you pay. You don't want to successfully build your business, have your customers rushing over to your web site to buy your product, only to find your site is down. 9 out of 10 of them won't come back. My web host is also a business opportunity, they actually pay me each month.

7. Build your Web Site and establish your presence on the Internet.

Take these steps, associate only with honest and successful people. Stay committed and focused and you will join the 5% that do succeed.

Ignoring the facts and burying your head in the sand , will keep you hopping from program to program never making a profit in any of them. A journey that will take you along a frustrating road that will eventually lead to your failure.

The choice is yours.... Commit or fail.
